V C Bird International Airport (ANU)

The best airport to use when booking flights to Antigua and Barbuda is V C Bird International Airport. While V C Bird is a relatively small airport, it is a hub for LIAT 2020 Ltd (formerly Leeward Islands Air Transport, also known as LIAT) and it is a short drive from the capital, St John's, on Antigua Island. Passengers arriving at V C Bird International Airport will find it a breeze, as it generally takes only a few minutes after landing to collect baggage and head out of the airport. However, passengers flying out of V C Bird should arrive ahead of time as queues can be long and the check-in area is not air-conditioned.

The airport is located on the northeast corner of Antigua, five miles (8km) from St. John's.

Getting to the city

Taxis are available outside the terminal and take around 10 to 15 minutes to St John's for a fixed fare.
