Ports of Call
- St Johns
The best airport to use when booking flights to Antigua and Barbuda is V C Bird International Airport. While V C Bird is a relatively small airport, it is used as a hub by Leeward Islands Air Transport (LIAT) and it is a short drive from the capital, St John's, on Antigua Island.
Passengers arriving at V C Bird International Airport will find it a breeze, as it generally takes only a few minutes after landing to collect your baggage and head out of the airport. However, passengers flying out of V C Bird should arrive ahead of time as queues can be long and the check-in area is not air conditioned. Check-in early and then grab a drink at the Sticky Wicket pub across the road.
The airport is located on the northeast corner of Antigua, five miles (8km) from St. John's.
