With three terminals, including a dedicated low-cost carrier terminal, it's easy to find flights to Vienna International Airport. Vienna International Airport is located in Schwechat County, which is just eleven miles (18 km) from central Vienna. Travellers simply stopping over at Vienna Airport should try to schedule in a behind-the-scenes airport tour run by the VISITAIR Centre.

Getting to the city
Local trains and buses leave regularly for Vienna. There is also a City Airport Train, which provides a fast and direct service to the centrally located City Air Terminal that is connected to the underground, bus and tram networks. Trains depart every 30 minutes and operate between 6:05am to 11:35pm costing €9 for the 16 minute ride. The S7 train also connects with Vienna every 30 minutes, although the ride is a bit longer with several stops. Taxis are available to the city centre from the arrivals hall (Tel: +43 7007 35910) and can be found outside the arrivals hall. A bus service takes 20 minutes to the city centre every 30 minutes between 6:20am and 12:20am and costs €7.

Airport TaxisThere are taxis available from in front of the arrivals hall, call +43 7007 35910 to arrange bookings. The taxi fare is metered and will be about €35 to the city centre, and the drive takes around 30 minutes.
There are more than 70 shops, including duty-free, as well as various restaurants and bars in both terminals. Bureaux de change and banks are available. Other facilities include airline lounges, luggage storage, business centres, Internet cafes and wireless Internet access, and a medical centre.
Vienna International Airport has two multi-storey car parks connected to the terminal via covered walkways. Parking fees range from €3.40 per hour to €31.50 per day. Short-term lots K1 and K3 cost €3.70 per hour and the long-term lot, Park C, while still within walking distance of the terminal, attracts an hourly rate of €3.20 or costs €21.50 daily.
Most major European carriers offer flights to Vienna. These include Aer Lingus, Air Berlin, Air France, Alitalia, Iberia, B&H, SunExpress, Germanwings, InterSky and British Airways. Airlines offering flights to Vienna from Africa, Asia and the Americas are Qantas, Sky Airlines, JAL, American Airlines and Air New Zealand as well as many others. Vienna International Airport serves as a hub for Austrian Airlines and Niki Airlines, which both offer cheap flights to Vienna.
Wifi is freely accessible throughout the airport 24 hours a day.
Business services ranging from wi-fi to cable TV, workstations, newspapers and shower facilities are available at the AIR Lounge and the JET Lounge. Buffet facilities are also available and access to the lounges is €24. Conference facilities are available in the VIP terminal or at the on-site NH Hotel.
