Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

Overview

Situated on Sea Island, Vancouver International Airport is the second busiest airport in Canada. It is conveniently located in close proximity to downtown Vancouver and offers passengers a host of activities as well as shopping opportunities, snack bars and great scenery.

Sea Island is also home to a great conservation project, which is designed to offset the carbon emissions and environmental impact of Vancouver International Airport. The airport is also well connected to airports across the world and has a range of non-stop flights to Asia, the Americas and Europe.

Location

The airport is located eight miles (13km) south of Vancouver.

Getting to the city

The Canada Line, part of the city's AirLink network, connects the airport to downtown Vancouver in about 25 minutes. Scheduled buses are available to downtown Vancouver, Whistler, Vancouver Island and Washington State; the Airporter bus to downtown Vancouver costs C$13.50 one way. Courtesy shuttles transport passengers to the Long-Term Parking Lot, South Terminal, local hotels and other destinations near the airport.
