Ndjamena International Airport
The N'Djamena International Airport is the only international airport in Chad. The airport has a single runway and is used for both civilian and military aviation. There is a French military base at the airport which is shared by the small Chadian Air Force. There are frequent direct flights between N'Djamena and Paris and a number of African cities, including Addis Ababa, Bamako, Kano, Khartoum and Niamey.
The airport is located in the northwestern corner of the city.
Getting to the city
There are always taxis waiting outside the airport to drive visitors into the city. A taxi private can be hired is prices are negotiable. Visitors should be sure to agree on a fare before setting off. Some of the hotels in N'Djamena provide free airport shuttles for guests.

Facilities at the airport are limited but there is an ATM, bathrooms, seating areas and a simple shop and restaurant.
Across the road from the airport terminal, travellers can find a parking lot for public use.
The passenger airlines servicing the airport include Air France, ASKY Airlines, Camair-Co, Ethiopian Airlines, Sudan Airways and Toumai Air Tchad.
