Dubrovnik Airport, also known as Èilipi Airport, is the biggest airport and main gateway to the holiday resort towns of southern Croatia. Serving more than one million passengers each year, the facility is located 12 miles (20km) from Dubrovnik, near the suburb of Kavtat.
The airport has modest facilities that are currently undergoing expansion that should be finished sometime in 2012. A few duty-free shops and restaurants are the only forms of entertainment in the terminal, however this may change when the expansion is completed.
The airport is situated about 15 miles (24km) south of Dubrovnik.
Getting to the city
The Croatia Airlines bus meets scheduled flights and runs between the airport and the main bus station. Passengers can get off at the stop outside the main gate to the old city on the way to the main bus station. Taxis are also available.

Car hire companies at the airport include Hertz, Avis, Budget and Thrifty.
A bank and exchange office are open daily. There are also souvenir shops, duty free, and snacks and drinks available.
Parking costs HRK 5 per hour up to HRK 40 for the day. The parking lot is attached to the airport.
Flights to Dubrovnik Airport are available on airlines like Austrian Airlines, easyJet, Jet2, British Airways, Monarch, Lufthansa, Jet2.com, Finnair, Condor, bmibaby, Aeroflot, Thomson, TAP Portugal, Flybe and Air Berlin.
Wifi is free for up to an hour in the departures area, the password is available from the information counters on presentation of a boarding pass. There are internet booths in the arrivals terminal.
There are no conference or business facilities at present, however the renovated terminal will hold a business and VIP lounge.
