Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO)
Overview
Mariscal Sucre International Airport is the busiest and biggest airport in Ecuador, and one of the busiest in South America. The new facility opened in early 2013 and is located 24 miles (39km) east of Quito.

Getting to the city
Taxis are available outside the terminal, and bus services are an option. Many hotels offer free bus transfers.

Airport Taxis
Taxis are readily available for transfers into the city. Passengers should insist that the meter is turned on at the start of the ride.
Facilities
Facilities include shops, restaurants, cafes, duty-free shopping and tourist information desks. Banks, ATMs and currency exchange are available. There is also telephone and WiFi access. Passengers with special needs are catered for and a wheelchair service is available on request.

Long and short-term parking is available, charged at US$2 for the first hour and US$1.50 for each additional hour.

Business Lounges
There are two VIP lounges: the Domestic VIP Lounge and the International VIP Lounge. Both provide WiFi, reading materials, and a relaxing environment. The International VIP Lounge has showers and a business centre.
