Located 13 miles (21 km) north of downtown Jacksonville, Jacksonville International Airport is a busy facility serving more than 5.6 million passengers each year. Conveniently located for flights to northern Florida and southern Georgia, the airport is served by most North American airlines, and there are flights to Jacksonville International Airport from cities across the continent, including New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, and Boston. Jacksonville International Airport has expansions planned in 2013 to add a new concourse.
