Located in Apodac, General Mariano Escobedo International Airport is the main airport for the greater Monterrey region of northeast Mexico. The airport offers flights to 35 destinations in Mexico and the US, including popular resorts like Cancun, Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta, and major cities like Chicago, Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles.
The airport is modern and efficient despite its small size, processing roughly 5.3 million passengers each year, many of whom are business travellers.
General Mariano Escobedo International Airport airport is approximately 15 miles (24km) from Monterrey City Centre.
Getting to the city
A new express 'SkyBus' service runs between the city and the airport, on luxury buses with internet service, bathrooms and movies. Departures from the airport start at 6am and run until 11pm, dropping passengers off at Valle Oriente station on Avenida Lázaro Cardenas. Pick-ups at this station start at 4:30am until the last one at 9:30pm. Reservations are advised. Several hotels also offer their own shuttles.

Car rental kiosks are located outside the arrivals area in Terminal A. The companies located here include Avis, Alamo, Dollar, Europcar, Greenmotion, Hertz, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty.
A broad selection of taxis service Monterrey Airport, departing from in front of the terminals. Rates are based on a zone system, and also depend the kind of vehicle and number of passengers. To the city centre it usually takes around 30 minutes and costs MXN 200. Travellers can pre-pay for their fare at kiosks outside the arrivals area in both terminals A and C.
Transfer between terminals
Complimintary minibus shuttles operate between Terminals A and C every 10 minutes between 5am and midnight.
Some of the facilities that Monterrey Airport has for travellers include hotel reservations, American Express currency exchange, regional bus services, airline VIP lounges, magazine stands, a mini market, fashion stores, duty free, restaurants, sweet shops, gifts shops, craft and souvenir stands, bars, coffee shops and ATMs.
Parking is available near each terminal. Short-term parking is MXN28 for the first hour, and MXN7 for every 15 minutes thereafter up to MXN300 per day, while long-term parking is MXN58 per three hours up to MXN250 per day. Second days have a maximum of MXN200. Premium parking is available near Terminal B. With all lots, payment is made upon exit, and both cash and credit cards are accepted.
Flights to General Mariano Escobedo International Airport are available on Aeroméxico Connect, Magnicharters, VivaAerobus, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Interjet and Volaris.
Wifi is available in the executive lounges.
Conference facilities are available at nearby hotels, including the Best Western Monterrey and the Hampton Inn. Executive lounges in the airport provide services like phone, fax and photocopies as well as internet access.
