Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM)
Overview
As Peru's main airport for both domestic and international flights, Jorge Chavez International Airport handles more than nine million passengers each year. Recently voted Best Airport in South America at the World Airport Awards, the facility is clean and modern, with efficient processing times and friendly staff.
Conveniently located seven miles (11km) from central Lima, Jorge Chavez International Airport serves as a hub for several South American airlines, and flights to Jorge Chavez International Airport are available from worldwide destinations including Paris, Madrid, Miami, Buenos Aires, Atlanta, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Houston, Havana and Newark.
Location
The airport is situated 10 miles (16km) north west of Lima.
Getting to the city
Taxis can be found outside the international flights terminal. Buses and minibuses also service the city centre, but their stops are outside the airport gates on Avenida Faucett. They travel to the city, stopping along the main avenues. A recommended shuttle provider is Akatori which offers a 24 hour service (www.akatori.com).

Facilities
Facilities at the airport include banks, bureaux de change, ATMs, a post office, public telephones, a couple of restaurants, shops, left luggage and a tourist information desk. There are disabled facilities; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance.
Parking
Parking is charged at PEN 4.50 per hour and PEN 35 per day, and is located across from the main terminal building.

US$30.25 or the equivalent in Soles (international flights).

Wifi is available on a pay-as-you-go basis within the terminal, and access cards can be purchased at coffee shops or the Telefonica call centre.
