King Fahd International Airport is located 16 miles (25km) northwest of Dammam, in eastern Saudi Arabia.
Getting to the city
Public buses run to Dammam from the airport, leaving every 30-60 minutes. The fare for a trip to Dammam is roughly SAR 12, and a ride to Al-Khobar costs about SAR 15.

A taxi to the centre of Dammam costs SAR 70-80, which is also the average fare for a trip to Al-Khobar. The trip from downtown to the airport takes around 60 minutes by car.
The airport offers duty-free shops, restaurants and cafeterias, banks and currency exchange facilities, a mosque, and smoking areas.
King Fahd International Airport has a multi-storey parking garage with short and long-term facilities. The terminal is accessible from the garage's first floor, and there are two parking lots to accommodate overflow. The first ten minutes of parking is free, thereafter an hourly rate applies.
