Bloemfontein Airport (BFN) is located six miles (10km) from the city centre. A small airport with only the most basic amenities, it serves roughly a quarter of a million passengers each year on flights to Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

Getting to the city
Public transport to the airport is limited; minibus taxis are available but are unreliable and often overcrowded. The best way to get to the city is by hired car or taxi.

Car rental companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Hertz, Europcar, National and Tempest. All car rental stands are located in the terminal building.
Taxis and shuttles, which should be booked in advance, are available just outside the terminal building.
The airport has a mobile phone rental shop, restaurants and an information desk. The ATM and VIP lounge are currently not in use due to construction work.
Covered parking is available at ZAR 95 a day, while open parking is ZAR 67 a day. Lock-up garages are available for ZAR 150 per day.
Flights to Bloemfontein Airport are available on Mango, Airlink, and South African Express.
Wifi is available, but is charged by credit card for passangers who are not MWEB or Internet Solutions subscribers.
