Bloemfontein Airport (BFN) is located six miles (10km) from the city centre. A small airport with only the most basic amenities, it serves roughly a quarter of a million passengers each year on flights to Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

Getting to the city
Public transport to the airport is limited; minibus taxis are available but are unreliable and often overcrowded. The best way to get to the city is by hired car or taxi.

Car rental companies at the airport include Avis, Budget, Hertz, Europcar, National Alamo and Tempest. All car rental stands are located in the terminal building.

The airport has a mobile phone rental shop, coffee bar, bookshop, restaurant and information desk. A VIP lounge and business lounge, conference room and ATM machine are also available.
Covered parking is available at ZAR95 for up to 24 hours, while open parking is ZAR65. Lock-up garages area vailable for R150 per day.
