Sur Reina Sofia Airport, Tenerife (TFS)

Overview

Tenerife South-Reina Sofia Airport is generally known as Tenerife South Airport. British holidaymakers tend to know this airport well as it is the gateway to a fun-filled holiday in the sun in Tenerife. It is close to most major resorts on the west coast of Tenerife and just 40 miles (60km) from Santa Cruz.

Tenerife South Airport is generally served by low-cost carriers, but it is well connected to cities across Europe. Although small, this airport handles seven million passengers annually and has a small selection of gift and souvenir shops as well as a few restaurants.

Location

The airport is sited in the south of Tenerife, within easy distance of the west coast resorts, but 40 miles (60km) southwest of Santa Cruz.

Getting to the city

Most tour operators arrange transport from the airport. For those that don't, there are regular buses to Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos and other towns and resorts on the island. Taxis are also available.

Parking

Parking at Tenerife South Airport is opposite the terminal and costs €10.60 per day for the first four days, thereafter it is €8.50. The hourly rate is very specific at €0.019150 per hour.
