El Paso International Airport

El Paso International Airport (ELP)

Overview

A small regional airport serving roughly three million passengers each year, El Paso International Airport is a busy gateway between Mexico and the United States. The airport is located 3.7 miles (6km) from downtown El Paso, Texas, and 12 miles (19km) from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, making it a convenient transport hub for both cities.

The busy border area sees mostly regional traffic, with busy routes to Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, Houston, Denver and Dallas. The airport itself is fairly basic, with a small central terminal filled with a mix of fast food restaurants and gift shops. The service is friendly, and nearly everyone who works at the airport speaks both English and Spanish.
