Belfast International Airport
Belfast International Airport (BFS)
Overview
Belfast International Airport (BFS) is situated just 14 miles (22km) northwest of Northern Ireland's capital city. A city with a troubled history, Belfast is working hard to try and establish itself as a tourist destination. The chief way in which this is happening is through popular low-cost airlines such as TUI Airways Limited, Jet2, easyJet, and Aer Lingus, which offer cheap flights to Belfast and have ensured that more and more visitors are being turned on to the city's considerable charms. Belfast International still shares its runways with the Royal Air Force's base at Aldergrove, and lucky visitors to the airport will catch a glimpse of the impressive military planes during take-off and landing.
