Jacksonville International Airport
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)
Overview
Located 14 miles (23 km) north of downtown Jacksonville, Jacksonville International Airport is a bustling facility serving more than 5.6 million passengers each year. Conveniently located for flights to northern Florida and southern Georgia, the airport is served by most North American airlines. There are flights to Jacksonville International Airport from cities across the continent, including New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, and Boston. Despite its name, there are currently no international flights to Jacksonville International Airport.
The facility has a single terminal with three concourses, and is fairly easy to navigate. The selection of shops and restaurants is good (though not to be compared with mega-facilities such as New York and London), and the airport provides entertainment in the form of live music in the summer and dvd rentals.
