Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)


Just a short drive from the city centre, Salt Lake City International Airport is a popular airport for business travellers and handles over 21 million passengers each year.

Salt Lake City Airport is well-equipped with passenger facilities, including shops, restaurants, an 18-hole golf course, kids play areas and DVD player rentals.


The airport is situated four miles (6km) northwest of Salt Lake City.

Getting to the city

The TRAX Light Rail train stop is located at the south end of Terminal One, and bus stops are located on the curb outside the Welcome Center in the same area, as well as outside Terminal Two. A train departs for the city every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends, but buses only operate during the week. A one-way fare for the bus or train costs $2.50. There are also taxis, hotel shuttles, rental cars and limousines available.

Car rental

Car hire companies at the airport include Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Thrifty and Fox.

Airport Taxis

Taxi booths are located outside of Door 7 in Terminal One, and Door 11 in Terminal Two.

Transfer between terminals

The terminals and concourses are connected by moving walkways.


There is a bank, bureau de change and ATMs in all terminals. Facilities for the disabled are excellent. Other facilities include restaurants and bars, shops (including duty-free), shoe shiners, a barbershop/beauty shop, courtesy hotel reservation telephones, and a tourist information desk. Faxing facilities, and other business services, are available at Zions Bank in Terminal Two.


Hourly and Daily Parking is provided in a lot in walking distance of the terminals, costing $2 for the first 30 minutes and $1 for each additional 20 minutes, up to a daily maximum of $28. Economy Parking is serviced by a free shuttle and costs $9 per day.

Departure Tax





Most major North American Airlines offer flights to Salt Lake City International Airport. Some of these include Delta, American Airways, United, Southwest Airlines and US Airways.


Free wifi is available in the airport.

Business Lounges

Delta's Sky Club Lounge provides newspapers, internet, fax and conference facilities as well as complimentary snacks. For non-members, Zion Bank and Regus Express both offer fax and photocopying services.
