Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS)
Overview
Officially known as Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau International Airport is the largest airport in the Bahamas, and the main gateway for the popular holidays destination. Located 8 miles (13km) west of Nassau on New Providence Island, the airport has recently expanded and upgraded its facilities, adding 34 new gates and increasing its capacity to five million passengers per year.
The airport has basic facilities that include a few shops and restaurants, but the main attraction to Nassau International Airport is the efficient processing times; passengers can arrive at the airport about an hour before their flight and enjoy smooth processing and short queues. Nassau International Airport has US Border pre-clearance facilities as well, making flights to the US a simple procedure.
