The climate of Phnom Penh is tropical, therefore hot and humid all year round. The hottest month is April, when the mercury regularly rises to more than 104°F (40°C). The rainy season, the time of the south-westerly monsoon, is between June and October, when the weather in Phnom Penh is generally windy, very humid and wet.
