Airports in Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik Airport (DBV)
Overview
Dubrovnik Airport, also known as Èilipi Airport, is the biggest airport and main gateway to the holiday resort towns of southern Croatia. Serving more than one million passengers each year, the facility is located 12 miles (20km) from Dubrovnik, near the suburb of Kavtat.
The airport has modest facilities that are currently undergoing expansion that should be finished sometime in 2012. A few duty-free shops and restaurants are the only forms of entertainment in the terminal, however this may change when the expansion is completed.
Location
The airport is situated about 15 miles (24km) south of Dubrovnik.
Getting to the city
The Croatia Airlines bus meets scheduled flights and runs between the airport and the main bus station. Passengers can get off at the stop outside the main gate to the old city on the way to the main bus station. Taxis are also available.
