Airports in Split
Split Airport (SPU)
Overview
Split Airport is the airport of choice for many summer season tourists, who flock to the country for quick weekend getaways or even longer vacations in Croatia. It is close to the beach resorts along the Dalmatian Coast and a short drive from the city of Trogir.
Split Airport is the third largest airport in Croatia and handles over 1.2 million passengers each year. Most flights to Split Airport come from other European hubs such as Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Rome and Paris. It is an efficient airport with a number of amenities. However, food and drink prices can be quite high and passengers are advised to use the minimarket at the entrance rather than the cafés after security.
Location
The airport is situated 16 miles (25km) west of Split.
