Zagreb's climate is continental, and the city experiences four separate seasons. Winters are cold, with an average temperature of 34°F (1°C), and summers are hot, dry and sunny with an average temperature of 68°F (20°C). The end of May, particularly, gets very warm, with temperatures rising to the mid-80sºF (30°C) and up. Snowfall is common in the winter months, from December to March, and rain and fog are common in autumn (October to December).
