Airports in Larnaca
Larnaca International Airport (LCA)
Overview
Located next to Larnaca Salt Lake, only three miles (5km) from central Larnaca, Larnaca International Airport is a popular airport in Cyprus serving more than five million people each year.
Larger than Paphos International Airport (the other main airport in Cyprus), Larnaca International Airport has one primary passenger terminal and one VIP terminal for visiting heads of state. The small facility is usually crowded but not chaotic; the main terminal underwent an upgrade in 2009, adding a large duty-free area with a selection of restaurants. The terminal is still being worked on, and by 2013 will receive a makeover to reflect the island's medieval heritage in its facade.
Larnaca International Airport is a friendly and efficient facility, and a good introduction to the pleasures of a holiday in Cyprus.
