Airports in Jacksonville
Jacksonville International Airport (JAX)
Overview
Located 13 miles (21 km) north of downtown Jacksonville, Jacksonville International Airport is a busy facility serving more than 5.6 million passengers each year. Conveniently located for flights to northern Florida and southern Georgia, the airport is served by most North American airlines, and there are flights to Jacksonville International Airport from cities across the continent, including New York, Washington DC, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis, and Boston. Despite its name, there are currently no international flights to Jacksonville International Airport.
The facility has a single terminal with two concourses, and is fairly easy to navigate. The selection of shops and restaurants is good (though not on a par with mega-facilities like New York and London), and the airport provides entertainment in the form of live music in the summer and dvd (and dvd player) rentals.
Jacksonville International Airport has expansions planned in 2013 to add a new concourse.

The airport is situated 18 miles (29km) north of downtown Jacksonville.
