You might not expect a city known for its banking industry to have much of a nightlife, but with its high rollers and multicultural expats, Frankfurt parties hard after dark. Frankfurt is said to be the jazz capital of Europe and jazz fanatics will fall in love with the city: there are many classy joints to jam to some good jazz but the place to go is the esteemed Jazzkeller, which draws big name artists from around the world. The Frankfurt nightlife is clustered around the city's northern area near Fressgasse, Zeil and Römerberg. The cobbled lanes of Sachsenhausen have some especially lively Latin, Irish and local joints to enjoy.
