Zakynthos nightlife offers visitors a variety of entertainment including pubs, bars and nightclubs. The trendiest spots are on the south end of the island, mostly in Laganas, Argassi, Kalamaki, Tsilivi and Alykes. Q Bar in the Laganas resort has good music and even better cocktails, while Molly Malone's Irish pub in Tsilivi has big screen TVs for sport fanatics. In Argassi, Red Lion serves draft beers and shows all the latest movies. Two Brothers in Tsilivi is also very popular. Argassi's Barrage nightclub is a great place to hear some techno, house and commercial dance music, and Ghetto in Laganas has a massive sound system. Also in Laganas, sip exotic cocktails and watch the fire show at Rescue. Clubs and bars tend to come and go but there is always a variety on offer on Zakynthos and it is not hard to seek out a good time after dark. For those who would rather avoid the noise and bustle at night it is also possible to slip away from the partying crowds and enjoy a romantic meal or drink somewhere. The nightlife is good but it does not dominate the island as it does at some of the resorts, and it is possible to avoid it. Zante is therefore suitable for family holidays.
