Indianapolis International Airport (IND)

Overview

The largest airport in Indiana, Indianapolis International Airport feels much smaller than it actually is. The single terminal has two main concourses that are easy to navigate, with digital visitor information kiosks located near each main escalator. The airport is efficient, and the staff offer typical friendly Midwestern hospitality.

Located just seven miles (11km) from central Indianapolis, the airport is connected with major highways that allow an easy 15-minute drive into the downtown area. Taxis and buses are readily available.

Flights to Indianapolis International Airport are available on a number if airlines to cities across North America, including busy routes to Atlanta, Chicago, Denver and Charlotte.

The airport is located just seven miles (11 km) from downtown Indianapolis.

Getting to the city

The Ground Transportation Center, located on the lower level of the parking garage, offers connections to shuttles, hotel courtesy vehicles, limousines and the IndyGo bus service. The IndyGo Green Line Downtown/Airport Express route offers direct service from the airport to various downtown locations. It runs daily from 5am to 9pm and costs $7 per trip. During rush-hour catch the IndyGo Commuter Express from Fishers and Carmel to downtown Indianapolis ($3 one way). Taxi services are available on the first floor of the parking garage. Numerous limousine operators offer luxury transport into the city.
