Airports in Galway
Shannon Airport currently handles just under two million passengers each year, making it the third busiest airport in Ireland. Most of the flights come from across the UK and Europe, but there are some flights to Shannon Airport from the United States.
The airport has a modest selection of facilities and passenger amenities. It was one of the first airports to offer full US pre-clearance outside of the Americas. The friendly staff at Shannon Airport offer the perfect introduction to Irish hospitality.
The airport is situated 15 miles (24km) from Limerick city and Ennis, and 56 miles (90km) from Galway City.
