Airports in Abidjan
Located 10 miles (16km) east of Abidjan, Abidjan International Airport is the primary airport for flights to the Ivory Coast. Also known as Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport or Port Bouet Airport, the modest facility processes roughly two million passengers each year.
The main terminal building has been renovated recently, and is a pleasant and efficient facility with basic amenities including a few shops and restaurants, however passengers should be prepared that there is no working ATM.
The airport is located 10 miles (16km) southeast of the city centre.
Getting to the city
SOTRA Bus line 6 operates between the airport and central Abidjan. The journey takes about 25 minutes. Orange taxis which charge set fares are available; note that taxi fares often double after dark. Rental cars are also available.
