Sangster International Airport (MBJ)
Overview
Nestled just two miles (3km) from Montego Bay in Jamaica is Sangster International, or Sir Donald Sangster International Airport. It handles flights coming into Jamaica from destinations worldwide and averages nine million passengers each year.
Sangster International was renovated in 2009 and now boasts an
impressive array of amenities as well as expanded parking
facilities. The staff at Sangster International are friendly making
the overall airport experience a pleasant one.
Location
The airport is located 2 miles (3 km) north east of Montego Bay.
Getting to the city
Taxi: There is an Authorized Airport Taxi desk located just outside the Customs exit. Fare to Ocho Rios is JMD 1,060 and a trip to downtown Montego Bay costs approximately JMD 850.
