Amman has a subtropical climate that is hot all year with an average temperature of 63°F (17°C). Summers last from June to September and are dry and hot with temperatures reaching 86°F (30°C). There is also low humidity and frequent breezes that help keep things cool. During the day there is no rain, but at night there is often fog and brief showers. Spring is brief, lasting from April to May with rain during the morning and the afternoons. Winters last from December to April, and are wet with mild to cool temperatures. Temperatures in winter drop below 50°F (10°C) with snowfall and heavy fog. It can snow anywhere between November and March. The best time to visit Amman is between June and September.
