Asheville Climate & Weather

Asheville Climate and Weather

Ashville has a humid subtropical climate, meaning the weather is mild year round, with warm summers and cool winters. However, due to its position in a valley surrounded by high mountains, the city's weather can be somewhat unpredictable. Light snowfall is possible in the winter months. Average high temperatures during summer, from June to August, are around 82°F (27°C), with July being the hottest month. In winter, from December to February, high temperatures average around 47°F (8°C). The best time to visit Ashville is during the spring, when the wildflowers are out. The late winter months are also quite pleasant, and less crowded than the summer months.
