Tulsa Climate and Weather

Tulsa is situated in the heart of Tornado Alley and is characterised by a temperate yet sometimes subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. In the spring and early summer, thunderstorms with hail, strong winds and, occasionally, tornadoes are common and plenty of rainfall is to be expected. During the summer months, temperatures can soar as high as 104F (40C) and high humidity levels can make the heat unbearable while winter temperatures are generally mild with an annual snowfall average of around 9 inches (23cm).
