The easiest way to get around Cuzco is on foot as so many of the tourist attractions and hotels are close together, congregated around the historic centre. Bear in mind though, that Cuzco is mountainous and the steep streets can make walking tiring. For longer distances, there are always taxis available and they are relatively inexpensive. Taxis are regulated and fares are standardized, but they are not metered. If travelling at night, to the airport, to the bus station or the train station, it is better to call a registered taxi company.
