Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW)
Overview
Situated a short drive from the centre of town, Warsaw Chopin Airport is Poland's busiest airport and handles just under nine million passengers each year. It's relatively easy to book flights to Warsaw as EuroLOT and LOT Poland Airlines use the airport as a regional hub.
Warsaw Airport has plenty of restaurants, cultural attractions and shopping opportunities. Moreover, Warsaw Chopin Airport has plenty of public transport options for passengers arriving or departing from the airport. It also has an observation deck, which is popular with kids and adults alike, and a great way to spend any extra time you have at the airport.
Location
The airport is situated six miles (10km) southwest of Warsaw.
Getting to the city
Municipal buses 175, 148, 188 and 331 operate daily from 4.35am to around 11pm ferrying commuters to Warsaw city centre and the right riverbank. Some hotels provide a shuttle bus service to and from the hotel on request.
