Mackay Climate and Weather


Mackay experiences a humid subtropical climate, similar to that found in the Hawaiian Islands, making a moderate temperature year round. Summers are warm with average daytime temperatures reaching around 29°C (84°F). Winters are mild with average temperatures around 22°C (72°F) and year-round swimming is possible. Most of Mackay's annual rainfall occurs during the summer months between December and April.
