Palma de Mallorca (Majorca) Airport (PMI)
Location: Mallorca’s airport is situated five miles (8km) east of Palma.Time: GMT +1 (GMT +2 from the last Sunday in March to the Saturday before the last Sunday in October).Contacts: Tel: +34 (0)971 789 000, +34 (0)902 404 704. Getting to the city: Most tour operators organise transport to hotels. For those that don't, there are several buses that connect the airport to Palma and other major towns and resorts on the island. Buses leave from outside Arrivals. There are also several taxi companies operating from the airport. Car rental: Several car hire companies are represented at the airport including Avis, Centauro, Europcar and Hertz. Before booking check if the vehicles can be picked up and dropped off at the airport, rather than at an off-site location. Airport Taxis: Taxis are available outside the Arrivals hall. A reputable provider of metered taxi services is taxipmi.com. Facilities: Facilities at the airport include ATMs, a bank, bureaux de change, shops, bars and restaurants, a post office and a children's play area. Disabled facilities are good; those with special needs should contact their airline in advance. Parking: A range of parking options is available at Palma de Mallorca Airport. Express parking starts at €0.45 for 15 minutes and goes up to €3 for an hour. Short-term parking is free for the first 30 minutes, but €10.80 per day. Long-term parking is €10.80 for the first two days, €9.95 for the next two and €4.39 per day up to 16 days. VIP parking is also available.
