Airports in Mallorca
Many European holidaymakers are familiar with Palma de Mallorca Airport. Mallorca is one of the top summer destinations in the Spanish Mediterranean and as such the airport receives over 21 million passengers annually.
With large crowds of people using the airport, particularly during peak periods, and with masses of flights to Mallorca from Britain and the rest of Europe, it's easy to see why some prices at the airport might be slightly inflated. Passengers may wish to avoid the airport's over-priced eating options, and sometimes queues for budget flights can get annoyingly long.
Mallorca’s airport is situated five miles (8km) east of Palma.
Getting to the city
Most tour operators organise transport to hotels. For those that don't, there are several buses that connect the airport to Palma and other major towns and resorts on the island. Buses leave from outside Arrivals and cost about €3 for a one-way trip.
