Things to see and do with kids in Mallorca
Although when most travellers think of Mallorca they will
picture wild parties and young tourists hell bent on having a
raucous time, Mallorca's quieter resorts are fantastic places for
families with children to take a summer holiday.
Puerto Pollensa and Cala d'Or are relatively quiet resorts with
uncrowded beaches, great places for the kids to build sand castles
and play with buckets and spades - just remember to pack sunscreen,
as temperatures in mid-summer can be searing. El Arenal boasts an
enormous and incredibly popular water park, while you can also take
the kids go-karting in Magaluf, or horse-riding in Alcudia. A trip
to Marineland (close to Costa d'en Blanes) to watch the dolphins
and sea lions perform is also a must for family vacationers in
Mallorca, as is a visit to the Mallorca Aquarium in Porto
Cristo.
On days when outdoor activities are not an option, many hotels
feature kids clubs, indoor children's playgrounds, or even
scheduled movie days to keep the young ones out of mischief.
