Zurich's climate is continental, and temperatures are modified by humid winds off the Atlantic Ocean, making the city milder than expected for its latitude. Summers are hot and sunny, and winters are cold. In January, temperatures range between 14°F (-10°C) and 41°F (5°C) and in July, temperatures range between 59°F (15°C) and 86°F (30°C). June, July and August are the wettest months.
