Airports in Austin

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)

An airport that keeps things small and simple, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is a pleasant facility serving the greater Austin region of Texas. Located five miles (8km) southeast of the city, the airport serves just more than ten million people each year.

The airport's small size makes it easy to get around, and passengers enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and friendly staff while listening to live music performed in the centre of the terminal as part of Austin-Bergstrom's Music in the Air programme.

Flights to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport are available to more than 40 destinations, mostly in the US with several seasonal routes to Mexico. The busiest routes are short trips from cities like Dallas, Houston, Denver and Atlanta.

The airport is situated five miles (8km) from downtown Austin.

The Capital Metro bus serves the airport every 30 minutes from the stop outside baggage claim. The trip takes 20 to 30 minutes to the city. Several hotels offer free shuttles, while taxis and car rentals are available too.
