Galveston Climate and Weather

Galveston experiences a humid subtropical climate with heat from the deserts of Mexico and moisture from the Gulf of Mexico brought up along the prevailing winds. Galveston summers are hot and humid with average daytime temperatures of around 90F (32C) while winters are temperate and the mercury hovering around the 60F (15C) mark. Galveston's summer and autumn season (May to October) are constantly under threat from hurricanes and travellers should take note of this before planning to travel during these months.
