The climate of Ho Chi Minh City is tropical, its humidity exacerbated by its proximity to the sea. The weather in Ho Chi Minh City is hot all year round, with little seasonal variation, although it is slightly cooler during the dry season, between December and April. The rainy season sets in in May, the heaviest falls occurring between June and August, but showers are usually short-lived. Typhoons can be experienced between July and November.
