Charleston West Virginia Transport

Kanawha Valley Regional Transport Authority operates 34 fixed bus routes seven days a week. Schedules vary, but the system runs from about 4:30am to 1am. Fares are calculated based on distance travelled, but start from $1. Taxis are available in Charleston, however they must be booked by phone as they are difficult to find on the street. Hiring a car is the easiest way to get around Charleston, and a good idea for travellers planning to explore outside of the city centre.
