Alabama River Festival

The Alabama River Museum in Franklin hosts an annual festival celebrating and recreating the early 1800s frontier times. Visitors can see dozens of demonstrators in full costume, showing you how to forage for food, build a campsite, make a bow and arrow, or throw a tomahawk. There's a special exhibition of Creek Indian stick ball and a stomp dance, as well as musical performances. There are handmade crafts for sale in the Trading Post and food vendors onsite. Admission is $5 per person.
