Even though Rehoboth Beach has only 1,300 permanent residents, nearly 25,000 vacationers descend on this charming seaside town every summer - leading to it being nicknamed "The Nation's Summer Capital". Over and above its quaint wooden boardwalk, eclectic art and curio shops, and preponderance of micro-breweries, the Rehoboth Beach Summer Concert Series has been pulling large crowds to the town since its inception in 1963. This free concert series, featuring both established and emerging American bands (nearly 50 in total), is famous for bringing a carnival-like atmosphere to Rehoboth's beach front; and the broad range of musical genres on offer - from classical to folk, to jazz and rockabilly - guarantees that there'll be something for everyone to enjoy.
