Overview A 35-minute boat ride south of Malé airport are the
neighbouring islands of Veligandu Huraa (Palm Tree Island) and
Dhigufinolhu, connected by a causeway over a lagoon. Dhigufinolhu
is the larger and louder of the two, offering a greater selection
of holiday entertainment and accommodation. Veligandu Huraa and
Dhigufinolhu are also connected by wooden bridges to Bodu Huraa.
Guests on either of the three tropical islands share holiday
amenities including a PADI-certified dive centre, Ayurvedic spa, a
variety of restaurants ranging from Thai to pizza and local
Maldivian cuisine, fitness centres, tennis courts, shopping
boutiques, opportunities to take Thai and international cooking
classes. Activities on offer include deep sea fishing, sailing,
yoga, kayaking, snorkelling, and swimming in either the sea or
beachfront swimming pools.
