Don't believe everything you read in Discover the World brochures. A little more honesty in their description of some excursions would be appreciated. We travelled to Lapland and had a very interesting experience on the Exclusive Dog Sledging trip. Any romantic notions you may have of this are completely wasted and you had better like mushing as there is no practice run before you commit to 35km of mushing...half of that in the dark. We questioned the safety of this trip after a few incidents having been on many other excursions with operators and we were simply told...this is the way we do it. Not very good safety, back-up, or customer care....considering it costs £300 per person. And don't bother booking the space center trip...complete waste of time for us...we have a suspicion it's just a way for Discover the World to keep you in Lapland for another night so you book more excursions etc. Great sales and marketing function at Discover the World, shame about the delivery.
