Tour Operators - Esprit

Just back from an Esprit holiday in Arcs 2000, France. Accommodation was acceptable and food and drink was good if you like lots of red meat and onions. Childcare entertained my 4 and 7 year olds well and the ski lessons were flexible enough to allow them to ski together even though they were slightly different standards. Main problem was the transport and transfers. Monarch flights between Birmingham and Geneva were very cramped and didn't provide drinks for the children on the return leg (had to ask twice to get water for them). Coach transfers both ways were late. Return coach had no seatbelts and overheating problems. You don't want either on a mountain. It left the resort 1.5 hours late and had to drive non-stop for 3 hours to made the flight connection, just! No time for shopping or buying drinks after security! All in all Esprit seems to concentrate its efforts on the resort which it does well but has taken its eye off how people get there. Also seems to forget sometimes that it is catering to families with children.
