The consultant at Tribes gave us lots of very helpful information following our initial enquiry, plus answered all our extra questions just prior to departure in a very comprehensive way. Really helped us with info on how much cash to take, what kind of clothes needed for the time of year we were travelling etc etc.

Andes to Amazon Trip - my daughter and I went with Tribes on this 5 day trip to the Amazon. We were very disappointed as the imformation provided from Tribes gave the impression we actually went into Manu National park and this was not the case. We were hoping to see giant otters, jaguars and other large mammals but later found out you could only see these if you went in the National Park. We were also meant to go to a local village to meet indigenous people but this did not happen either and was basically a bird watching trip which is not what we had booked. On our return we complained to Tribes by email and we had a cursory email to say they would look into it and get back to us - after nearly 3 weeks we are still waiting.

Feedback from Tribes Travel: Our documentation made it very clear that Manu National Park was not part of this trip. Ms Murray did not discuss with us any of her wildlife wishlist nor did she seek advice on the suitability of this trip. She received an immediate response to her complaint and a full and detailed written response as soon as we were able to consult with the guide working in a remote part of the Amazon. We consider the matter properly dealt with in a timely fashion and do not think the above feedback accurately reflects the situation.

Fantastic holiday complete getaway even got my teenage kids back for 10 days, villa wonderful and the staff helped us get the authentic Zanzibar experience. Villa was beautiful, complete with resident bush babies! the beach stunning complete with fishing dhows and local fish market! Snorkelling was great around Mnemba definately lived up to the name of the aquarium. Weather was perfect we had a great family holiday perfect place to end a busy year.

Excellent service right from putting the itinerary together to the timely receipt of all our documents. Everything worked like clockwork transfer vehicles arrived on the dot and in a country that has more than its fair share of poor standard the vehicles used were first class. Good well informed advice on the locations and timings suggested were given.

The depth and breadth of knowledge of the Tribes team is really impressive. Their ability to tailor make a holiday that meets your needs is second to none.

Exceeded expectations (which were very high to begin with), particularly the Galapagos experience and the Black Sheep Inn.

Tribes did not give the level of service expected for the amount of money they charged. I found them pushy when taking payment but not wanting to find out information with regards to answer questions on health before the trip.

Feedback from Tribes Travel: Ms Goodman travelled with us in 2008. We have on record no fewer than 69 emails from her as well as taking numerous phone calls. These correspondence include sending her comprehensive details on vaccination requirements. She is however correct that we had to chase her to get the money! We do not confirm holiday services without a deposit being paid. We are confident that we offered extremely high levels of service at a competitive price.

We could not fault our trip in the slightest. Everything went perfectly from being met at Quito airport to us being delivered back there 12 days later. We had the most perfect honeymoon and have some wonderful memories to look back on.
