Tribes, the Fair Trade Travel company, aims to offer holidays which are first-rate in terms of quality and excitement while also benefiting the local people, environment and wildlife of the chosen destination. It is owned and run by Amanda and Guy Marks who offer a quality, professional and personal service based their extensive travel experience in exotic locations. Between them, they have more than 34 years in the travel industry. Amanda and Guy began Tribes in January 1998 because they felt that tourism should be sustainable and of benefit to the local communities affected by it, and because they wanted to offer the kind of holidays they enjoyed - namely those offering true experiences of a country, its people and environment.
