Entry requirements for Americans

US nationals require a passport for travel to Argentina, but no tourist or business visa is required for stays of up to three months. US citizens are required to pay a $160 entrance reciprocity fee on arrival. The fee can be paid in US dollars or Argentine pesos, and the amount is subject to change at any time. US nationals will be able to enter the country multiple times for up to ten years after the first payment without making any further reciprocity fee payments.

UK nationals require a passport, but no tourist or business visa is required for a stay of up to three months for British Citizens.

Entry requirements for Canada

Canadians require a passport, but no tourist visa is required for a stay of up to three months. However, Canadian citizens are required to pay an entrance reciprocity fee of $75 for a single entry, and $150 for multiple entries for up to 5 years from the first entry.

Entry requirements for Australians

Australians require a passport, but no visa is required for stays of up to three months. However, Australians are required to pay a $100 entrance reciprocity fee that is valid for multiple entrances up to 1 year from first entry.

Entry requirements for South Africans

South African nationals must hold a passport, but no tourist or business visa is required for a maximum stay of up to three months.

New Zealand nationals require a passport, but no visa is required for stays of up to three months.

Entry requirements for Irish nationals

Irish nationals require a passport, but no tourist visa is required for a stay of up to three months.

Passport/Visa Note

Valid passports are required for travel to Argentina. Visas are not generally required for stays of less than three months. Visas are valid for several entries within the period of validity stated in the visa. It is recommended that all visitors have sufficient funds (at least US$50 per day), as well as onward or return tickets and documents required for next destination. Extensions on visas are possible up to 90 days. It is highly recommended that passports have at least six months validity remaining after your intended date of departure from your travel destination. Immigration officials often apply different rules to those stated by travel agents and official sources.
