Flights to British Virgin Islands

Flights to British Virgin Islands

Flights to British Virgin Islands from the UK:

The British Virgin Islands' main airport is Beef Island Airport on Tortola, which can accommodate only turboprop aircraft. It is therefore necessary to fly from the UK on a major carrier connecting via the USA or Europe to a larger hub in the Caribbean, in order to access a local Caribbean airline or ferry for the last leg of the journey to the BVI. The most convenient route is to fly to San Juan (Puerto Rico), which is served by numerous international airlines, including British Airways (www.ba.com) and Virgin Atlantic (www.virgin-atlantic.com). From San Juan the most favourable connection to the BVI is aboard American Eagle (www.aa.com), a flight of about half an hour. The Caribbean airline Liat (www.liatairline.com) also connects to Beef Island with small planes from St Kitts, Antigua and San Juan.
